Sigriswil and surroundings
The political commune of Sigriswil covers the largest area - 55 km2 - of any in the district of Thun. The commune includes 11 villages including, of course, Sigriswil.
The lowest point of the diverse area is the lake at 560 metres above sea level, and the highest is the Sigriswiler Rothorn mountain at 2,050 m.a.s.l. The village of Sigriswil is located 11km from the town of Thun, which is serviced by a regular bus connection. Residents and guests alike of south-facing Sigriswil enjoy life on the sunny side!
Hotels and restaurants dominate the lakeside and lower levels of the commune while the upper parts are mostly set aside for farming and forestry.
